The photo on google is not an advertisement. It is a photo that google have attached to the business without the owners consent. It has been sent to google already to be reviewed.
Theft... it is quite funny that no theft of a phone or money has been reported to management in the past 6 months so I feel that this is fabricated. The staff at the globe are not thieves and do not steal illegal substances for personal use, that is just a ludicrous accusation. The staff at the globe are managing a lot of people at any one time, they always know what is going on.
Bed bugs... if at any point there has been an outbreak of any vermin or insect kind, the hostel has procedures in place to eradicate the problem as quickly as possible.
I think you and your friend need to realise you are in Australia, in a rural area and there will always be bugs, mice and other animals... what there shouldn't be is pigs and that's probably why the cleaning fee was charged.
